We met the Cremo gang at a hotel near the Cremo offices. Not much time to linger though, since it was video shoot day! The Cremo Video Shoot Our room was a block off the beach and there was some pretty spectacular views.
KEN SURFS SHAVE VIDEO PLUS
I was flattered, to say the least!īut on the plus side the rain cleared out the air and the next morning was beautiful. Matt and Jim weren’t there but Justin Bullock of Cremo flew out from Cremo HQ in California specifically to meet me. When we met I was in for a surprise - pretty much the entire Road Trip crew knew of me and Sharpologist: two public relations representatives, the Road Trip “personalities” (Faith and Edward), the videographer, even the driver.

What I did not know was the extent of Cremo’s interest until I got an email from their Chief Marketing Officer, Jim Harrington, asking if I would like to meet the Road Trip crew during their stop in Houston (about 100 miles from me). I even helped test Cremo’s lathering shave cream when they were developing it. And I knew Cremo was at least aware of Sharpologist - Cremo’s CEO Matt Biggins and I have occasionally exchanged emails over the years. Some Background On Sharpologist’s Relationship With CremoĬremo shave cream has been on Sharpologist’s list of best shave creams since the article’s first edition in 2014: I think it’s one of the few good “mass market” brushless shave creams. I ended up working with them on a shaving video! I also got to meet some of the gang at West Coast Shaving…. I met them in Houston (covered on Sharpologist here and here) and it turned into a bit of a mutual-admiration society. We won't all agree with the experts online and we don't have to, there are others to watch and listen to.Over this past summer the Cremo Company, makers of Cremo Shave Cream, took a 1947 travel trailer refurbished into a “mobile barber shop” across the country to promote Cremo products and also to raise awareness of men’s mental health issues. In the end, it is just shaving and a fun hobby to explore and share with others. My hope is that this gives us all a better understanding from the viewpoint of a vendor. But some posts bump right up against being unnecessarily provocative and that is not what I am about - life is too short. You will note that I haven't done this because in my opinion it has remained civil and civil discourse is what B&B is all about. We also have discretion to edit and have posts removed from any of our threads since it is our own sub-forum. Because we pay for it we have discretion to post threads that are commercial in nature - that is the whole idea of vendors having their own sub-forum. Vendors are an important revenue stream for B&B so it can continue to be the helpful forum that it is. That makes them an expert in my book.Īnother aspect is that as a vendor we pay $500.00/year to have our own sub-forum on B&B which is another tool for a small business. Why do I say this? Quite simply, they try a lot more products from a plethora of manufacturers than I do. And I will call them experts since they are more of an expert than I. I fully intend to post new threads from youtube and the experts that review our products. One thing bears remembering shaver, We are thankful for all of our customers out there and youtube plays a role in helping a small business promote itself.
